Angels of the Full MoonAngelus, Angekis Angele, Engel, Angel The nature of angels has always intrigued Vicente. In 2007, his “Guardian” series comprised 16 oils on canvas: 11 adult guardians and 5 cherubim. In Vicente’s Angel series the appearance of “The Guardians” varies from his early work of the supernatural with wings to his more recent works appearing as angels with free will personalities, distinct roles and human shape. The evolution of the Guardian Series appears now as a rationalized view on his canvas or metaphors of the laws of nature or the principles by which the universe operates. Vicente’s future work, “Angels of Opposition” will explore the Fallen Angels, Good vs. Bad.
